Singular luncheon napkins are 55 gsm airlaid paper napkins measuring 13″ × 13″ unfolded, folding to a 6.5″ square. That is the standard luncheon size, sitting between a cocktail napkin and a full dinner napkin. They are soft, lint-free, and absorbent enough that one handles a full meal. Sold 100 to a pack in white.
Most tables do not need a dinner napkin. A sandwich at lunch, a plate at a shower, a slice of cake, a coffee and a pastry at a café — a 15.75″ napkin is simply too much fabric for any of that, and a cocktail napkin is not enough. The luncheon size exists because it is the one that fits almost everything, which is why it is the napkin most kitchens and most cafés actually run through.
Paper lunch napkins are usually two thin plies that go translucent on contact and leave lint on a dark plate. Airlaid is a different material: cellulose fibers bonded into one dense 55 gsm sheet. The practical difference is that you reach for one instead of three.
Luncheon napkins are 13″ square unfolded and 6.5″ square folded — the middle size in the standard napkin range. Cocktail and beverage napkins run about 9″ to 10″ square, and dinner napkins run 15″ to 17″. Here is how the three compare across the Singular line:
| Cocktail | Luncheon | Dinner | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Unfolded | 9″ × 9″ | 13″ × 13″ | 15.75″ × 15.75″ |
| Folded | 4.75″ square | 6.5″ square | 7.875″ square |
| Per pack | 100 | 100 | 50 |
| Built for | Drinks, passed bites, the bar | Lunch, buffets, cafés, showers, dessert | Seated dinners, weddings, plated service |
If you are stocking one size and the meals vary, this is the one. If the occasion is a seated dinner with courses, step up to dinner napkins. If it is a bar or a cocktail hour, step down.
| Unfolded size | 13″ × 13″ |
|---|---|
| Folded size | 6.5″ square |
| Material | 55 gsm airlaid paper, linen-like feel |
| Color | White |
| Pack size | 100 napkins |
| Care | Single-use, no laundering |
This is the working size — the one that gets used on an ordinary Tuesday and still looks right when there are guests:
For a powder room, use guest towels instead — they are built for hand drying rather than the table.
Plan on two per guest for a served meal or a buffet — one at the plate and one taken later. Packs hold 100, so most gatherings land inside one or two packs:
| Guests | Napkins needed | Packs |
|---|---|---|
| 25 | 50 | 1 |
| 50 | 100 | 1 |
| 100 | 200 | 2 |
| 150 | 300 | 3 |
| 200 | 400 | 4 |
For everyday household use the math is different: a family of four using one each at dinner runs through a 100-pack in about three to four weeks. For a buffet where guests return to the line, budget closer to three per person — people take a fresh napkin with every trip.
Luncheon napkins come in white only, which is the right call for the job this size does. White is the one color that never looks wrong next to a different set of plates, a different season, or a different occasion — and because this is the napkin that gets used on ordinary days as well as planned ones, it has to work with whatever is already on the table.
It is also the best surface in the line for print. On white, a monogram or a logo reads at full contrast with nothing underneath it competing.
If you want the napkin itself to carry color, dinner napkins come in more than 20 colors and patterns, and cocktail napkins in 20.
A luncheon napkin is the most-used printed surface a café, a caterer, or a shower host will hand out, and white gives a print the cleanest ground it can sit on. A logo for a coffee bar, a monogram for a shower, a date for a graduation lunch.
See custom branding for artwork requirements and minimums, or request samples to check the weight and texture before a larger order.
Store the pack flat and dry, away from steam and direct heat, and reseal the unused portion so the napkins stay crisp and the white stays bright. Each napkin is single-use and needs no laundering. They are made from wood-pulp cellulose fibers, so check what your local program accepts before composting them, and do not flush them: airlaid stays strong when wet, which is exactly why it does not belong in plumbing.
Round out the table with cocktail napkins for drinks, dinner napkins for seated meals, pocket napkins for pre-folded place settings, and guest towels for the powder room. Buying for a restaurant, café, hotel, or caterer? Case pricing and account support run through the wholesale program.
